How does it work?
elemental is based on a theoretical framework described in a British Psychological Society review as “impressive and thoroughly convincing”. The common themes running through several decades of research on intrinsic motivation are a) identifying with the nature of the task; and b) encountering appropriate challenge. elemental is therefore in two parts which represent what the individual wants to do, and how they want to do it.
Many psychometric tools simply measure observable characteristics. This can result in a a ‘I could have told you that’ response!
elemental looks beneath and beyond the superficial. It explains what it is about an individual which motivates or drives observable behaviours. It offers practical insights in how to harness and maximise engagement and enthusiasm.
