What makes it powerful?

It’s long been recognised that people perform best if they are motivated as well as competent – expressed another way, ‘can do’ doesn’t always equal ‘will do’. elemental reveals underlying drivers such as the need for achievement and the need for power which may lie dormant within you until they are triggered by the right kind of situation. Being aware of your motivational drivers will help you find a role where you are ‘fired up’ by the work you do.

elemental is based on a theoretical framework described in a British Psychological Society review as “impressive and thoroughly convincing”. The common themes running through several decades of research on intrinsic motivation are a) identifying with the nature of the task; and b) encountering appropriate challenge. elemental is therefore in two parts representing what you want to do and how you want to do it.
